This keyboard is for typing the Santali language in Latin script.

In this keyboard there are four characters that can combine with a following character to add one or more diacritics:

“[” produces:

  • dot under “a”, “d”, “e”, “n”, “o”, “r” and “t”
  • “{” produces:

  • tilde over “a”, “e”, “i”, “o”, “u”

    “]” produces:

  • apostrophe above “c”, “h”, “k”, “p” and “t”
  • macron under “e” and “o”
  • dot above “n”
  • “}” produces:

  • dot under and tilde over “a”
  • macron under and tilde over “e” and “o”
  • acute over “n”
  • These are summarized in the following table. Type the character at the top of the column, followed by the character at the left of the row to get the character in the table. For example, type “[” then “N” to get “Ṇ”.
