Haroi Keyboard 1.0 is adapted from VNI.

Letters with Tone Marks and Diacritics

Tone Marks

Press any vowel key and then any numeral 1-5 to get the vowel with a tone mark.

For example:

• a + 1 = á
• a + 2 = à
• a + 3 = ả
• a + 4 = ã
• a + 5 = ạ

Vowel Qualities

Press any vowel key and then any numeral 6-8 to get the vowel with different vowel qualities. Some combinations are not possible.

For example:

• a + 6 = â, e + 6 = ê, i + 6 = î, o + 6 = ô, u + 6 = û
• o + 7 = ơ, u + 7 = ư
• a + 8 = ă, e + 8 = ĕ, i + 8 = ĭ, o + 8 = ŏ, u + 8 = ŭ (vowel shortening)

Vowel Quality and Tone Marks

To get a vowel with both vowel quality and tone mark, press the vowel then the number for vowel quality (i.e. 6, 7 or 8) then the number for tone mark (i.e. 1, 2, ,3 ,4 or 5).

For example:

• a + 6 + 1 = ấ, a + 6 + 2 = ầ, a + 6 + 3= ẩ, a + 6 + 4= ẫ, a + 6 + 5 = ậ
• e + 6 + 1 = ế, e + 6 + 2 = ề, e + 6 + 3= ể, e + 6 + 4= ễ, e + 6 + 5 = ệ
• i + 6 + 1 = î́, i + 6 + 2 = î̀, i + 6 + 3= î̉, i + 6 + 4= î̃, i + 6 + 5 = ị̂
• o + 6 + 1 = ố, o + 6 + 2 = ồ, o + 6 + 3= ổ, o + 6 + 4= ỗ, o + 6 + 5 = ộ
• u + 6 + 1 = û́, u + 6 + 2 = û̀, u + 6 + 3= û̉, u + 6 + 4= û̃, u + 6 + 5 = ụ̂
• ...etc, see the table below

• d + 9 = đ
• b + 9 = ƀ
• n + 4 = ñ
• c + 8 = č
